  My cousin is a doctor who practices in a big NY hospital and
also has his own Park Avenue practice.  Rather than hire a full
time secretary, he gives out the phone number for his pager.  
Thinking it is an emergency, he answers questions about his
office hours, directions to his location, or about his specialties.  I
am now building his Website and he is getting a new cell phone
with voice-mail!

  A couple of days ago a landscaper's truck passed by and
needing top soil for my garden, I called the phone number
painted on the side of the vehicle.  The owner suggested I go
to his Website.  When I surfed over to the site, it was under
construction!  Unknown to the landscaper, the web hosting
company had placed advertisements on it instead - for his
competition!!! Instead of promoting his own business, he was
actually referring me to someone elses!

A friend and I visited a local store the other day only to find
out that the previous owner had sold the business and mvoed
on.  The new owners had changed much, but also added a lot
more services. When we asked if his website reflected the
change, he said "Oh yes, most definately!"  Well, he pulled up
the address from his computer in the store and the OLD
website came up...and the store has been under new
ownership for six months!
